So apparently my last post was in April. Blerg. I guess between working on my house, my direct sales job, and my REAL job at the library, I just keep forgetting. Sorry.
I just returned from a week on Martha’s Vineyard which was relaxing, though quite hot. I am tan, but only in the sense that I look more like a normal human being than usual. I wasn’t thrilled about going back to work on Monday (yesterday) but I thought that maybe a week off would have given me a better perspective on things and straightened out my brain a bit.
I was wrong. Then, today, I was even more wrong. Summer Reading program confusion. (my fault.) Scheduling conflicts. (my fault.) No staff. (not my fault, but may as well be.) Double blerg.
However, Monday did have it’s perks: I drove a lovely elderly woman to her house because she locked her keys in her car in the library parking lot. I now have a free pass to swim at her house on the lake on my lunch break any time I want. 😉
Also, our amazing MOMs club in town gave me a check for $500 to spend for the children’s room! They are awesome. 🙂
Looking forward to a better day tomorrow. Perhaps I will do that eye-bombing thing and stick googly eyes on things in the library. That might be fun.
